He brings over four decades of international leadership experience across the upstream, midstream, and downstream oil & gas industry, spanning the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Americas.
His career reflects a consistent record of developing major gas, LNG, and power infrastructure projects, and leading large-scale capital investment programmes for both operating and contracting companies.
Career Highlights
Executive V.P. & Regional Director, DNVGL: led a 1,100-person technical, commercial, and business development organisation across 14 countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and India, delivering 15% year-on-year business growth.
Asset V.P. & Senior Commercial Manager, Kuwait Energy (Iraq): developed, commissioned, and started up the first non-associated gas plant in Basra, Iraq, and led the client team on a lump-sum EPC contract for a two-train sour gas plant.
Director of Projects & Capital Investments, BP Upstream (Australia): delivered BP's sanctioning of the North West Shelf Train 5 LNG development and the North Rankin “B” offshore project, across a $10B joint-venture capital portfolio.
GM Commercial, Nexus Energy (Melbourne): built the commercial structure for an explorer-to-producer transition, delivering a long-term gas supply agreement with Santos and a contracting strategy for the Crux liquids project.
Project Director & Country Manager, BP Middle East (Iran): led BP's in-country investment strategy for oil, gas, LNG, and petrochemicals, including gas and LNG development proposals for South Pars.
